"Bon Appetit!"

You may think you're in a 1940s, "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon" time warp, but it's really the talented Grammy-award winning duo of Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, on their new CD for young people called Bon Appetit! -- Musical Food Fun.

Now this is a challenge. How do you create really good songs that rock with their own integrity and at the same time are also able to communicate something necessary about nutrition (remember the food pyramid?), good eating habits, or the value of exercise. And how do you explain the vital importance of water or the universal appeal of the bannana or the food you need five of every day. There are good, solid songs here for all of these and more -- songs that celebrate muscles, the garden, the hula hoop, and the potato. Hip hop and swing, anthems and waltzes. When Cathy and Marcy are on, they're really on -- like their salsa for all those picky eaters in the world. It's food for thought, and for music:
