We are speaking today with Susan Raab who reports regularly for Recess on the current children's book scene. She's also written An Author's Guide to Children's Book Promotion, to help people who have written and published children's books, and who want to take an active role in marketing their own books. We aksed Susan about what factors she's noticed in her experience that may be driving the current phenomena that have everyone, it seems, thinking that they can write for children or that they can somehow tap into the next new craze in the children's book market:
